While I’ve included some of my own insights for the some of these products I’ve tested myself in the past, this ranking primarily focuses on the gaming equipment that top pros are actually choosing for competitive CS2 play.
What Gaming Mice Are CS2 Pros Using?
1. Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2
No surprise here, the second most used gaming mouse in 2025 is the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2. If you’re already familiar with the original Superlight, the Superlight 2 is nearly identical to that, but with some updates to its internals making it relevant in 2025.
Sure, many teams are sponsored by Logitech, but that doesn’t change the fact that this mouse is built to suit a wide range of players like the Viper V3 and people love it for its shape. With a slight upgrade to its internals from the original G Pro Superlight, this version delivers flawless and reliable performance.
2. Razer Viper V3 Pro
Number two most popular gaming mouse among CS2 pros is the Razer Viper V3 Pro. It came as a surprise when it dethroned Logitech’s flagship model, the G Pro Superlight / Superlight 2.
If you’re familiar with Razer’s older Viper lineup, you’ll find that the V3’s shape is a complete departure. Taking Logitech’s approach with the concept of safe shape, Razer followed a similar approach in designing the Viper V3 Pro with a more universally suited shape than the V2’s, making it comfortable for a wide variety of players. 3. Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro
The third most used gaming mouse among competitive CS2 players is the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro. Much like the Viper V3, this mouse takes a new approach with a reshaped design of the DeathAdder lineup, now being more similar to the Zowie EC2 in terms of its shape, only a bit bigger.
If you’re a big ergo guy, the DeathAdder V3 Pro might be something you’d want to consider With its modern specs, it’s no surprise that this mouse is a top contender for many professional gamers, offering both comfort and performance during those long gaming sessions.
What Gaming Mousepads Are CS2 Pros Using?
1. SteelSeries QCK Heavy
One thing I can’t seem to get my head around is why the SteelSeries QCK Heavy rated as the number one most popular mousepad amongst Counter-Strike 2 pros. I understand some players have been using it for years and don’t want to mess with their muscle memory by drastically changing their setup, but honestly, I don’t recommend it. This mousepad feels outdated at this point, and there are definitely better options out there.
The coating wears out quickly, making it sluggish after just a short time of use. It might have been great in the past, but the performance just doesn’t hold up anymore, especially for competitive gaming. It’s hard to understand why some pros are still using it when there are newer, higher-quality mousepads that offer better consistency right now.
2. Zowie G-SR SE
The Zowie G-SR SE on the other hand, is a solid option and I would definitely recommend this over the QCK Heavy. It’s essentially a refreshed version of Zowie’s original G-SR, now updated with modern improvements that make it more durable and relevant in 2025.
It retains consistency in glide, with reliable and smooth performance over long gaming sessions. Unlike older models, the G-SR SE holds up well over time, maintaining its speed and precision without the wear and tear that something like the original G-SR or QCK Heavy would suffer from. The G-SR SE is definitely a top pick for anyone after a durable mousepad that offers the same control experience as its predecessor. It’s built to last and provides a reliable, consistent surface that’s perfect for precise movements and control.
3. Razer Gigantus V2
The Razer Gigantus V2 is another mousepad that I just don’t get how it’s still widely used among CS2 pros in 2025. It feels outdated at this point and doesn’t quite meet the durability and consistency standards expected from modern gaming gear.
The surface wears down relatively quickly, and it doesn’t offer the same level of precision or longevity as other, more up-to-date options. Honestly, there are definitely better mousepads out there that provide a smoother, more reliable experience for competitive play.
What Gaming Keyboards Are CS2 Pros Using?
1. Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL is mostly used among CS2 pros, according to ProSettings, and it does deliver solid performance. Its got fast activation and responsive keys and being able to adjust actuation height and other performance features in software it’s great for competitive play.
However, when it comes to the overall feel, there’s room for improvement The materials can feel somewhat cheap, and it isn’t the best sounding keyboard. If you’re picking this up, you’re going to be getting this for its performance in games, not for a premium typing experience.
2. Wooting 80HE / 60HE
The Wooting 80HE and 60HE are both great options, and I’m combining them into one spot since ProSettings have listed these as 2nd and 3rd most used keyboards among CS2 pros. They’re nearly identical, just different form factors which comes down to personal preference.
If you have the budget, I can confidently recommend this keyboard. While SteelSeries was the first to introduce magnetic switches, Wooting took it a step further with their Rapid Trigger technology which allows the key to immediately reset when you lift your finger, instead of waiting for it to reach the actuation point, giving you faster, more responsive feedback.
Compared to the Razer Huntsman V3, this one offers better build and provides a better typing experience (nothing major though). But yeah, it might be a bit hard to get your hands on this keyboard right now and you might even have to wait for long shipping times since so many people are jumping on the hype for Wooting keyboards.
3. Logitech G Pro X TKL
The Logitech G Pro X TKL is 3rd on the list, but I haven’t had the chance to use or test it personally, so can’t really say much about it. Based on the specs, it seems to be a strong contender against the Razer Huntsman V3, with its analogue technology. That said, I’m not sure it tops the Wooting keyboard, but I’ll leave it at that. I don’t want to bash something I don’t know too much about.
What Gaming Headsets Are CS2 Pros Using?
1. HyperX Cloud II
The HyperX Cloud II is an older model, with the newer version being the Cloud III. It’s still the most popular headset among CS2 players right now, but I’m not sure if people stick with it because they’re still rocking their old headset from the days when HyperX was owned by Kingston or if the HP acquisition of HyperX has made them hesitant to upgrade to the newer version. I’ve been hearing how the quality of these headsets has gone down since they were acquired by HP. Either way, the fact remains that many pros are still using the headset for CS2.
And yes, I used to own this headset myself and can vouch for it. It was pretty solid right out the box, just plug and play, and there wasn’t much that needed to be adjusted. Sounds quite good out of the box with a more balanced, natural audio experience.
2. Razer BlackShark V2 Pro
The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is ranked the 2nd most used headset among CS2 pros, and for good reason. I remember when I waas looking at which headset to buyh, I saw that it has what’s called the TriForce driver in its marketing, which supposedly separates the lows, mids, and highs, each using a dedicated driver for better sound clarity. Now I’ll admit I can’t really tell the difference, but what I do like about this headset is being able to fine-tune the sound and mic through the software as well as its comfort. This thing has held up for the past year I had it.
3. Logitech G Pro X2
The Logitech G Pro X2 is ranked as the 3rd most used headset among CS2 pros right now. Since it’s an upgrade to the original G Pro X, I’d assume Logitech made some solid improvements with this version, but honestly, I can’t speak much more about it personally. It’s ranked number 3 for most popular headset in CS2, and I’ll leave it at that.
What Gaming Monitors Are CS2 Pros Using?
1. Zowie XL2546K
The Zowie XL2546K is currently the most used monitor among CS2 pros, and it’s easy to see why it’s the most popular choice. It features a 24.5″ panel TN panel with 240Hz refresh rate and DyAc+ technology, which helps reduce motion blur for clearer during those fast swipes to smoothen out visuals and is something that can make a real difference in fast-paced FPS games like CS2.
The “K” models introduces a smaller base when compared to its predecessor (the XL2546) which is a nice touch, giving players more room for mouse movement, and the adjustable stand makes it easy to find a comfortable setup allowing you to adjust the stand to tailor height, tilt, and swivel. Additionally, it also features a better TN display with lower response response time and introduces features like profile sharing, where you can share your monitor settings with someone using the same monitor.
2. Zowie XL2566K
This is a step up from the previous one we talked about as this one features a 360Hz display giving you even more responsive and smooth gaming experience. Everything else is pretty much the same,. If you want higher refresh rate, go with this option, but make sure you have the hardware to be able to run your game on at least 360 FPS to take full advantage of this.
3. Zowie XL2546
The Zowie XL2546 is almost similar to the first one, but without those upgrades we talked about. This monitor comes equipped with an older TN panel which has a 1ms response time, and while still fast, may not match the enhanced responsiveness of the XL2546K. It’s basically a barebones version of the XL2546K model without all the added features like profile sharing and such.
